Remote Education
At Five Elms Primary School, remote education will be provided when pupils are unable to attend school, for example due to school closure or other exceptional circumstances. Learning will be shared through Google Classroom, allowing children to access lessons, activities and resources and remain connected with their learning.
Children in Key Stage 2 will also use TT Rock Stars to regularly practise their times tables, helping to develop speed, accuracy and fluency with essential multiplication and division facts. NumBots will support children in Reception and Key Stage 1 to develop number fluency and confidence with key mathematical concepts. Reading remains an important part of learning at home, with books and reading activities allocated through Boom Reader.
These platforms enable children to continue their learning, practise key skills and maintain positive learning routines when they are not able to be in school.
If you require login details, passwords or access to a device to support your child’s remote learning, please speak to your child’s class teacher, who will be happy to help.
