Admission
Nursery Admissions
You can register your child for Five Elms Nursery once your child is 2 years old. We will need you to produce original documents:
- Child's FULL Birth Certificate
- Passport
- Utility Bill or Bank Statement
- Council Tax Bill - dated within three months
We will take copies and put your child on our waiting list. This does not guarantee a place in our Nursery.
Free Early Years Provision
Five Elms is offering early provision to those children who are due to start nursery school in September 2020. Therefore if your child is turning 3 years old (before April) during this academic year, he/she would be eligible for a nursery placement during the following term. Below is a table of how the process works.

The new nursery sessions will be available every afternoon and for 3 hours per day. This will be extremely beneficial as the new provision will enable your child to begin their nursery placement earlier than had been previously possible at Five Elms. Your child will then continue their nursery education into the following academic year as normal. As we are not funded for under 3s, we are unfortunately unable to offer early provision to children turning 3 in the summer term.
If you do have a child who is eligible for the new provision and would be interested in a place at Five Elms Nursery, please complete the slip in the form below. Please note, you are not required to have a sibling child attending Five Elms Primary to qualify for the new provision.

Nursery transfer to Reception
Your child does not automatically transfer from Nursery into Reception.
You will receive a booklet via the Nursery Class Teacher; you will need to apply online for your child’s place. No places are guaranteed and you must apply even if your child already has a place at our nursery. If you do not follow the process in the booklet, you put your chance of getting a place at your preferred school at risk.

The Admissions Team offer as many places as possible based on the admission criteria as long as forms and requested documents are returned by the closing date. If you do not fill in all sections of your form or you do not send the relevant documents to the Admissions Team your application will not be processed.
