Reception Summer 2021 Newsletter
Dear Parents and Carers,
Hope you had a lovely Easter break. Our topic this half term will be ‘Countries’. The children will be looking at different countries around the world. In addition to these topics, we will also plan activities that take account of the children’s individual interests. In the table below we have outlined some of the learning experiences that your child will have across the different areas of the curriculum.
Personal, Social and Emotional Development |
They take account of one another’s ideas about how to organise their activity. Children are confident to try new activities, and say why they like some activities more than others. Children talk about how they and others show feelings, talk about their own and others’ behaviour, and its consequences, and know that some behaviour is unacceptable. |
How you can help your child at home |
Allow your child to plan, develop and represent their own ideas in activities at home. |
Communication and Language Development |
Children listen attentively in a range of situations and ask questions. They answer ‘how’ and ‘why’ questions about their experiences and in response to stories or events. They use past, present and future forms correctly when talking about events |
