Year 5 India Assembly

As part of the Year 5 geography topic, children have been learning about India.  They learnt how to describe India as a country and explain why India is the way it is. Children have been identifying how and why India has changed, they have learnt to describe and explain how and why India is similar and different from other places in the world. They learn to recognise how people can improve the environment or damage it, and how decisions about places and environments affect the quality of people‚Äôs lives.

They used atlases, globes maps and plans at a range of scales. They also used secondary sources of information, including aerial photographs Identify and described what india is like.

They combined all their knowldge and skills learnt to produce a class assembly for their parents and the rest of the school.  You can view their work in the video below.
