Safer Internet Day (SID) is organised by Insafe in February of each year to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology and mobile phones, especially amongst children and young people across the world.

Safer Internet Day 2017 will be celebrated on 7 February 2017. The strapline for the campaign is “Let’s create a better internet together”.

Children at Five Elms will be celebrating the day, through a variety of games and activites which are designed to raise awarenss about how to use technology safely and respectfully, keeping personal information private.  Children will know where to go for help and support when they have concerns about content or contact on the internet or other online technologies.

It is important that parents are also engaged and informed to ensure their children can get the most out of the internet. To find out more click here.
