Streets Ahead by Arc Theater

Slide1(2)

Five Elms Primary,  Key Stage 2 children took part in the Accident Prevention Workshop by Streets Ahead.

Streets Ahead is Arc Theatre’s dynamic new accident prevention workshop, using an engaging mix of live theatre and multi-media to increase road safety awareness. The programme, which has been specially developed for schools in collaboration with the funders BeFirst to highlight the risks and consequences of distraction or bad judgement on the street, and the impact upon victims’ families.

Using an exciting mix of interactive theatre, film clips, Q&As and Qwizdom ‘gaming’ handsets, Arc’s Streets Ahead schools programme explored key road safety messages, including:

Road collisions are multi-causational and it CAN happen to YOU,

Risks and consequences of distraction, e.g. friends, phones, headphones etc.,
Vulnerability of pedestrians (i.e. roads are dangerous and vehicles can kill),
The importance of taking individual responsibility.

The programme was delivered by Arc’s skilled, professional team of facilitators and actors and tackled the issues in the safe and inclusive school environment.
