Year 3 have been learning to compare the mass of everyday objects. They were able to say whether an object was lighter than or heavier than another object, and used the 'more than', 'less than' and 'equal to' maths symbols to show their understanding. The children really enjoyed estimating and measuring the mass of the objects in the following lessons. Some children even practised the skills they had learnt, at home after the lesson!
