Number Day 2014

Children at Five Elms took part in the NSPCC Number Day, which is a fun, nationwide maths fund raising event. The event helped raise money to support the NSPCC and helped raise awareness of the importance of maths as an essential everyday life skill, which we apply in a range of activities.

On the day children came to school, wearing clothes with numbers on. Year 6 children organised and hosted a 'Maths Fair', which other year groups were invited to. The lessons taught on the day were all related to maths. At the end of the day children from each of the year groups shared the work they had produced on the day.

All the children had a wonderful day and enjoyed using and applying their maths skills!
